Our close friends Nick and Sierra had their engagement pictures taken in Sedona this past weekend. Sierra had asked me to do her hair for the photos so we made a quick weekend trip of it. I embarrassingly admit that after living in Arizona for most of my life I had never been to Sedona. I had seen the pictures and heard about it, but you can’t really grasp how beautiful the red rocks are till you see them.
We arrived late Friday night, had some yummy breakfast Saturday morning and then headed to Red Rock Crossing. While Nick and Sierra had their pictures taken Brian and I took a little hike – I could’ve stayed there all day. I’m happiest when I am next to some body of water, the creek was cold but sitting with our feet in the water looking at all the red rocks was the best.
After pictures we started our drive home — Unbeknownst to me, everybody had read my summer bucket list and decided to secretly plan a stop at Page Springs Cellars. We spent a good four hours there, chatting, drinking, and eating. The wine was great, the food was delicious and the service was wonderful. After drinking a couple (or more) glasses of wine Sierra and I hung out by the creek. With such beautiful scenery, lots of wine, and good company it was the perfect way to kick off summer adventures.
Thanks for the best weekend Sedona, we’re already planning our next trip.
